Star Wars Maintenance Droids
Behind the scenesEdit
Although the droid's prominent appearances were around Ben Quadinaros's pod in The Phantom Menace and in Watto's shop in Attack of the Clones, several can be seen elsewhere in Mos Espa in The Phantom Menace, such as behind Qui-Gon Jinn as he walked through the streets; walking through the podracing hangar before and after the race; and a few on the field before the Boonta Eve Classic, mixed within the DUM-series pit droids.
In 1999, Hasbro released an Ody Mandrell action figure that included an Otoga-222 droid. Repaints of the same figure were later included with figures of Anakin Skywalker in 2000 and Ben Quadinaros in 2012. Vba visio swap table.

Basically a stock representation of the folding pit droid from The Phantom Menace; I repainted this droid to match the conceptual drawing of the DUM-4 pit droid. I also modified the arm by cutting it at the elbow and repositioning it so that the droid was looking at whatever it is holding. The part is the center wing section from AMT/Ertl's 1/48 scale Droid Fighters.
